Small place, maybe 12 seats. Has English on the menu but easy to point and ask as well. Steak was good and you cool it yourself on grill pan. Came with noodles, rice, carrots and beans. Also got side potato salad and coke. Overall good meal, reasonable price and super quick

Fast food steak!

It's a fast food for mostly steaks (they have a kind of burger too), and it's really good. No french fries, just rice, corn, carrot and such side dishes. Food is served quickly, since you get it raw, on a very hot pan, and you decide how long to let it fry. We tried the Akihabara branch besides this one, and it was also good. The restaurants are small (like many other in Tokyo) and you seat around a counter (also typical to Tokyo). They have menu in English, but do not speak English. Paying, again like many other places, is cash only. Recommended. A great & more healthy substitute for kids that insist on McDonald's, Burger King and the likes.

There's variety when it comes to how much rice, how much beef, what quality of beef, etc.Price-wise, it's anywhere between $3 - $5 less per dish compared to California and the quality of the beef is better (odd, because you can see workers semi-freeze the beef in the back).One notable improvement is that the plates are set at a higher temperature and cook the meal better. You can expect proper grill marks on your meat and I didn't encounter the issues California has with the plates running cold early, making it hard to properly cook the beef.Small note: they give coupons with your receipt for soft drinks for the next time you visit.Overall, I'd say it's a great B-kyu restaurant that offers a solid meal at a reasonable price. Definitely stop by if you're in the area and hungry for a quick meal.

Both good and bad pepper lunch.Cheap meat, really processing injection meat! I would recommend it if you want to eat it after tasting it.Because it is a long store, it can not go out without walking sideways behind the serving customers.

Pepper Lunch was alright, they have this serving method where you essentially have to cook your own meat. It comes out sizzling on a metal plate, and you're given tongs to flip the meat and sauce to season it.It's not bad, just odd because if I'm cooking my meal, what am I paying for? Not to mention, it's easy to undercook the meat because the plate is cooling down (obviously) and if you add sauce it cools down even faster, before the meat has cooked through.Overall its good, but I'm not sure I would go back because in addition to the above it's small inside and they also have bar style seating, so it's really not conducive to groups.

It's very close to Higashi-Shinjuku Station.When I steak, rice comes out too I only had steak, but the half and half of the steak was more delicious Korean boss? It's easy to order, and it's delicious. Raw meat is grilled right on my iron plate. I've eaten it at another place but the menu around the meat has no taste.

There are many shop assistants and the response is fast, but because it is a very narrow shop, it may take time to enter the store if there is a lot of luggage.

You can have a big beef meat steak, cooked perfectly and for a great price at pepper lunch. The meat quality won't be fantastic, but very acceptable. A lot of choice in the sauces, pieces of meat and side dishes. A life saver if you miss eating meat while in Japan.

Good place to eat nice steak without much ceremony. It is cooked right on your plate, hence you control how "well done/rare" is it. Wouldn't recommend to take sets (with salads, drinks etc.), better take bigger steak (yes, you choose the size!)This place is "eat&go" type, usual in Japan.Steak starts from 12-15 USD.

Quick and easy to order steaks, USDA grade meat, if you are looking for waygu Don't come here, try pound-ya( in roppongi) for a decent waygu experience. I always order the pepper rice from here . In and out in 10 minutes. For a set I paid 1200yen. Wish they had this we're I live now

Im down with Pepper Lunch, friendly guys that work there helped us order and made sure we didnt duplicate drinks when adding a beer to the packaged meal. If staying over the road in the sunroute hotel its a good quick fix

It tastes good but the shop is too small. If it's a cheap beef bowl chain, it seems that it is difficult to do mainly for menus near 1000 yen or more.

The staff is also friendly and tasty. If you are near here without going to Kabuki-cho, you should go here.

As in any Japanese restaurant (or in most I've been) the treatment of the staff is great, very friendly and attentive, they have the menu in Japanese / English.The portion of food leaves you full and I must emphasize that the meat that has just been cooked on the plate is in its proper place and is really good.You can add ingredients to the dish you choose or complement it with a drink or a starter.I would definitely go again.And the affordable price.
